Journal Entry 2
When I was studying for my FMX radiographic exam, I learned about all the radiographic landmarks shown in the FMX. I studied the exposure errors, and technique errors, however they still confused me when I took the test. Because I did not pass the first FMX evaluation test, I went to Mrs. Harrell to explain the exposure and technique errors a little better to me. After we went over the exposure errors, and some other landmarks and deformities I felt a lot more confident about the FMX evaluation. I think the radiographic exam will help me on National Boards because they have a section of the test just like our evaluation, so taking these tests helps me prepare for when that test comes. Our radiographic exam helps us prepare for private practice because seeing and recognizing the differences in things, helps us distinguish from health and disease.

Journal Entry 4
I felt as though I did pretty well on my difficult cal competency. After I felt like i had finished scaling my quadrant, I made sure to re explore at least 4 times. I got up and walked around and re explored one more time just for good measure and still felt nothing, so I thought to myself; "Why over think it." When the teachers called me in and told me they didn't find any missing deposits I felt ecstatic! Not only because when I had finished I felt like I did a good job, but because even they thought I did a good job which made me feel even better. It helped me improve my scaling skills by making me work faster, and being more through when I clean my patients. I feel as though this competency will help me with my licensure exam because now I know what to feel for when looking for my board patient.
